Instant Coffee, the Nila Way
How it’s made:
Instant coffee begins its journey just like your regular cup, with green beans harvested from the estate, roasted to perfection, and brewed into a strong liquid concentrate. This coffee is then dried using two main methods:
- Spray-drying: where hot air turns the liquid coffee into fine crystals in seconds.
- Freeze-drying: where brewed coffee is frozen and then gently dried under vacuum to preserve aroma and flavor.
What you’re left with is pure, concentrated coffee that dissolves instantly in hot or cold water; no brewing equipment, no waiting.
Why it matters:
Not all instant coffee is created equal. Most commercial ones are blends from multiple sources, often losing character along the way. Nila’s instant coffee is made from single-estate beans, directly from our family estate in Chikmagalur. That means every spoonful carries the same honesty and flavor as our ground coffee, only faster to make.

We didn’t want instant coffee to feel like a compromise. So every jar is crafted to stay true to the bean’s natural profile, whether you’re sipping our Original, a cozy Vanilla, or a nutty Hazelnut. It’s instant, but with roots.
